This outfit cost £15!! Fifteen pounds!! I'm so fond of a good bargain and these two pieces from the River Island sale are so cheap and chic. Stripes are bang on trend at the moment and this subtle mix of vertical and horizontal stripes is a really great way to rock the trend. I pretty much adore anything lace and this pleated lace midi skirt is so gorgeous and comfy and can be worn with so many things. I chose to style this with a black and white bodysuit and some ankle boots for a more causal off duty look but this could be paired with a black top and your favourite pair of heels for a more dressed up look.
It's worth noting that I bought the bodysuit in a a UK size 24 thinking I'd have trouble with it fitting round my body because I have a long torso but it's actually really stretchy and I should have stuck with my usual UK size 22. I find River Islands sizing a little unpredictable at times, sometimes things run too big and sometimes they run too small but for the most part my experience with them has been great.
This outfit is going to be a stable in my wardrobe over the summer and on into the colder months. These two pieces are so versatile and for the money they're a perfect buy!
